Oceans

WA Museum Boola Bardip
December 1st, 2021

Planet Earth? We live on Planet Ocean!

With 70% of our planet covered by water, our oceans are the beating heart of our world.

Oceans included four new talks from four brilliant marine scientists:

  • Having explored all five of the world’s deepest places, Alan Jamieson gave us a new way of thinking about these least-understood places
  • Mick O’Leary told us how new surveying techniques are unlocking ancient indigenous culture
  • Fear expert Emily Lester changed the way we think about reefs.
  • Behavioural ecologist Adrien Gleiss connected us to hidden worlds through the latest biometric technology

Oceans was Guest Curated by Melissa Cristina Márquez, shark scientist and popular science communicator.

All our events are carbon neutral.
