(She/Her)
Jemima is a City of Fremantle Councillor who aims to increase community engagement and support a safe future for all. Elected at age 21, she is the youngest ever Fremantle Councillor.
Currently pursuing a degree in Law at Murdoch University, she balances her academic pursuits with her role in local government and her passion for climate activism. Jemima has been involved with the youth climate movement for six years. She advocates for a rapid and just transition to renewable energy, and empowering young Western Australians to join the cause through volunteering with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
Jemima’s approach to decision-making is deeply rooted in community values. Driven by the belief that the personal is political, Jemima strives to bring diverse voices into the decision-making process.
Whether she’s part of an AYCC meeting, working at Gage Roads, or engaging in Council matters, Jemima remains focused on creating positive impacts and strengthening community bonds. Her ultimate goal is to encourage others to get involved with imagining and designing a better future for all.
