At 23, Matilda Peters is driving her employer’s move to carbon neutrality. She proves that you don’t have to be the boss to create meaningful change.
Matilda is a graduate of Curtin University with a degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
She has participated in many internships and full-time positions in the Human Resources profession. Recently she went back to University to complete her Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
She is now working as an HSEQ Advisor for Atlas Professionals for both Australia and New Zealand. One of the large projects that she is currently running intends to get the company fully carbon neutral by January 2022.
In her spare time Matilda attends karate classes every day to support her love of food.
She volunteers fortnightly with Swan Estuary Reserves Action Group on restoration projects along the Swan River. She also runs a Perth food review page and, in her spare time, she is either studying Japanese, going on adventures, or gaming on her PC.
It is her goal to one day live and work internationally, hopefully Japan.
