Gemma is a high school student, currently completing Year 11 ATAR studies. With a keen interest in Law and Commerce, she hopes to pursue future university studies in these fields. Through her participation in the collaborative, creative-thinking challenges of Opti-minds and Da Vinci Decathalon, Gemma recognises the importance of advocating for idea spreading as a way of nurturing problem solving, particularly among her peers.
Gemma strives to participate in leadership opportunities within her school and external community, and was fortunate to be awarded the Australian Defence Force Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork award in 2022.
During her free-time, Gemma enjoys reading, rock-climbing, playing netball and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is incredibly excited to work alongside, and learn from, the amazing team at TEDxKings Park, as a Youth Panellist.
