Maya is a high school student undertaking grade 11 ATAR studies, and she hopes to study international law at university. She is passionate about the involvement of young people in sharing their ideas and experiences in our community and has participated in the Perth Philosothon philosophy competition (2018 – present), the Junior Ethics Olympiad Nationals (2021), and the UN Youth State Conference (2021).
Maya enjoys participating and leadership opportunities in her school, sporting, and local community. In 2022, Maya was awarded the ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and teamwork award.
In her spare time, she loves the beach, socialising with friends, playing the piano, and netball. She is a motivated learner and is very excited to be a TEDxKings Park Youth Panellist.
